Last year 5th Season - a New Hope shop featuring great gifts and wonderful accessories for the home joined forces with New Hope Arts Center to establish a FUNdraiser “Birdhouses Bucks County Style!" 

The 2007 auction was a sold out, standing room only success and the event was one of those memorable evening in New Hope where the community once again came forward to celebrate the arts and artists the region is known for. 

Everyone helped out.  Restaurants and volunteers prepared great food, artists and friends created the most unbelievable one of a kind bird abodes, spirited bidders filled the space and The New Impressionist entertained. 

New Hope Arts and 5th Season are again inviting folks to let their imaginations soar and join in this year’s fundraiser – Bird Bath & Beyond! – an expanded version of last year’s fun.  The expanded theme allows artists to finish that bird abode they started last year or create a fountain, birdbath, garden stepping stones or sculpture.  .

“We wanted to build on last year’s success of the birdhouse auction and when area artist Elaine Daniels suggested the theme of “Bird Bath & Beyond” ideas started flying,” explained 5th Season co-owner Bob Mennitt. 

Build a unique bird abode, create a bird bath, a sundial or a beautiful garden gate.  Donate a painting or print of a garden scene or trees, landscaping services or a garden designs.  But most of all be part of the fun and magic that makes New Hope so special!  Monies raised at auction will benefit the creation of a New Hope Arts Center.

New Hope Arts is a 501 c3 partially funded by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Borough of New Hope.  All donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.

 The partnership

• New Hope Arts is a 501c3 not for profit organization dedicated to increasing awareness and support of the contemporary arts and artists of the region. They are currently embarking on a project to create an arts center in downtown New Hope and monies raised through this Bird Bath & Beyond event will benefit their efforts.
• 5th Season, neighbor to the Center, is a great shop run by two positive community minded folks who want to help the Arts Center meet its goal.
• With this project they have created a partnership with commerce and culture working together to add a little more magic to our community.
